A Week of Progress and Fun at Troy Brook Visions

May 24, 2013 2:33 pm

This past week saw lots of activity at the TBV studio. Daniel made three beautiful occassional tables, created from African ribbon-cut mahogany with tiger maple and walnut inlays. They are now in the finishing studio and Barbara is spending many hours hand applying our oil and varnish finish and diligently sanding between each coat. Mother Nature is not cooperating this week with clear, dry weather so the coats are taking a bit of time to cure but all is progressing well and the tables will be in their forever homes before long. Daniel is now onto his next project, a king-size custom bed. I was able to snap a photo of him while turning the posts!

In addition to finishing and keeping the gallery running Barbara spent last Friday at the studio of Connecticut’s ABC affliate WTNH taping a segment for the lifestyle show CTStyle. Once a month Barbara joins the cast and crew of CTStyle to demonstrate a baking technique to the show’s viewers. Click here to see the video.
