Washington Craft Show Booth 2012

Washington Craft Show

September 20, 2013 11:11 am

I know it is a bit early to be talking about the Washington Craft Show but this show is just that important! After being involved with many top artisan craft shows over the years we feel the Washington Craft Show offers its attendees the best way to experience the world of Made in America, high-end craft. The owner and promoter of the show, Crafts America, is very selective when choosing their jurors each year and therefore the artisans offered spots in this show are some of the very best in the country. We are honored to have been invited again this year.

The show takes place over the first three days in November at the Washington Convention Center in our nation’s capital. In addition to the 175 artisans exhibiting their work, Crafts America has programs throughout the days including lectures and fashion shows. For those of you unable to visit us in Litchfield, come to the show and see our traveling mini-gallery. Here’s a photo of pieces exhibited at last year’s show.

Now if you will all indulge me I would like a get a bit nostalgic and share with you my favorite Troy Brook Visions bed design. Daniel created this bed many years ago and it has been embracing its owners each night since then. This Turned High Post Bed was crafted from solid African ribbon-cut mahogany. We enhanced the natural beauty with a light dye to bring out the dramatic striping in the grain of the wood. This bed whispers romance with its graceful elegance. Every design detail was carefully selected to compliment each other and they all work together in perfect harmony. Don’t you just want one for your very own? I know I do! I will have to talk to Daniel about that. . . . .
